Argus Security Systems LTD are a NACOSS NSI Gold approved company with over 25 years experience in design and installation of security systems. This qualifies Argus to design, install and maintain Police response systems for all of our customers.
Until May 2012 all new monitored installations will need to conform to DD243:2004 & PD6662:2004 to obtain a police URN (Unique Reference Number), older systems that conform to BS4737:1986 can continue to hold police response until such a time when it is lost. The New standard PD6662:2010 comes in to effect on 1st June 2012, after this date should your system loose Police response the system will need to be upgraded to conform to the latest standards in order to have it reinstated.
The cost of a URN application is currently £52.18, this is only an application charge and does not mean that a URN will be granted, although it is very rarely refused.
Argus Install and Maintain Police Response Systems across the UK, In April 2012 the Police authorities started to require up to two URN applications for police response, one for the Intruder and one for the PA if applicable. Every Police force in the UK will pass on the additional charges as their are now separate URN's for Intruder and Panic Alarms with every authority.
As the Standard PD6662:2004 will be replaced with the new standard PD6662:2010, Argus are currently carrying out staff retraining to work to this standard once it takes affect.
