This house is typical of the many hundreds of intruder alarms that Argus has installed. It is not only large expensive houses which need protection against burglars. Often property is even more vulnerable on housing estates. We pride ourselves that our alarms are designed properly and prevent losses. Signals are passed via telephone lines and mobile phone networks and are configured to detect when the connections are being tampered with.

Radio links can be set up enabling intruder alarms or cctv to be monitored from a nearby house. We recently set up a camera in a stable to monitor the progress of a mare in foal and have on several occasions set up cctv links for farmers to monitor lambing sheep from the farmhouse.

This can make them vulnerable to intruders who can break in without being detected and then spend unlimmited time stripping out and stealing the furnishings and valuables.
