Control Panels and Keypads
The control panel and keypad are the brains of the intruder alarm, performing critical functions, such as monitoring detection devices, arming and un-setting, controlling sounders, signalling and providing power and battery backup to the system. |
|
Detectors and Sensors
Our Intruder Sensors are designed to detect a person within their range. Sensors positioned to detect someone as they attempt to enter the building are known as perimeter protection. Those positioned at strategic locations within the protected area give trap protection.
We define the range of a detector by the distance and angle of unobstructed vision. A typical modern detector will cover an area of 15 meters with an included angle of 85 degrees.
Passive detectors work by sensing heat in the form of infrared rays which are emitted from a persons body. Active detectors emit microwave or ultrasonic sound waves and measure the time taken for reflected rays to return. In the same way as a police radar, moving objects are detected.
. |
|
Sounders and Signalling
Our sounders are placed inside the protected area to scare intruders and make it difficult for them to hear if someone is approaching the building to investigate. External self activating siren and strobe units are mounted on the external wall in an inacessible place normally high up. They have their own rechargable battery so that they will work even if the power is disconnected. Their purpose is to draw attention to the premises in the event of an alarm activation so that the police can identify the relevant building more easilly and to encourage neighbours to investigate. |
|
Door Contacts
A comprehensive range of Contacts are available, including Surface and Flush Mounting models. Also, a range of High Security Contacts with single, double and triple bias are offered. Many are fully encapsulated and sealed, protecting them from the environment.
|
|
REMOTE MONITORING
When an attempted break in is detected by an intruder alarm, the system cannot physically prevent a loss of goods but relies on allerting keyholders, neighbours and in some instances Police to the problem.
Many Argus systems have a remote secure connection to Advanced Independant Monitoring (AIM) Alarm Recieving Centre. Upon receipt of an alarm activation police are notified within minutes and are quickly on the scene. AIM are NACOSS approved and inspected to BS EN |

Red Care Classic
redcare classic - redcare monitors your alarm over a BT phone line - reporting any alarm activations (including when the line has been cut) to your alarm receiving centre via the secure redcare network. |
|
Red Care GSM
redcare gsm - Your alarm is monitored over a BT phone line with a GSM backup - reporting any alarm activations (including the phone line being cut to the alarm receiving centre). The secondary GSM line means that alarm activations can continue to get through to ARC even if the phone line has been cut. |

DualCom GPRS/IP
The future of alarm signalling
In line with the ever-changing world of technology, CSL has designed a DualCom variant utilising GPRS (Packet Radio) as its encrypted primary signalling path. Combining this with IP (Internet Protocol) technology as the alternative path gives you a truly cost effective and secure approach to dual-signalling.
This exciting combination of technologies is generating an enthusiastic response from our industry.
From CSL's perspective, we designed DualCom GPRS/IP to satisfy the ever-growing demand for these technologies from the Retail sector in particular, where cost and performance are under constant scrutiny.
In the event of an alarm, DualCom's GPRS sends packets of data, via radio. The speed of transmission surpasses the older GSM technology, hence its suitability for sending alarm signals. Rather than having to ‘dial-up' for a connection, GPRS systems are permanently switched on and transmit instantaneously. Another popular feature of GPRS is its low operating costs. A flat rate is charged per month to cover all calls made and monitoring.
The IP path uses an TCP/IP connection to include compatibility with Broadband/WAN/LAN. DualCom's IP path can either replace the PSTN path or be used in addition, creating up to three diverse routes on alarm transmission.

|
DualCom Plus
Since its introduction to the intruder alarm market in 1996, DualCom is officially recognised as the original and most widely used dual-signalling device in the UK. It’s reputation as an advanced, reliable and cost effective signalling device has led to nationwide installations in supermarket chains, high street stores, banks and other vulnerable premises.
DualCom plus is compatible with any telephone network, ADSL and ISDN and uses the Vodafone Packet Radio Service (VPRS) to transmit signals within seconds.
DualCom is suitable for the majority of premises in the UK. A major advantage of DualCom is its ability to operate over any telephone network. This means your customers do not have to install a dedicated telephone line for alarm signalling.

SMOKE GENERATION
Intruder alarms cannot prevent theft of propery but rely on alerting people that a break in is happening. Where high value non bulky items such as jewelry or cameras are the goods to be protected we fit smoke generators which on alarm activation fill the premises in seconds with a dense none toxic smoke. It is virtually impossiblle to steal stock in these circumstances as the intruder can see nothing, becomes disorientated and often finds it impossible to even find his way out. |

Security Video CCTV Cameras
The specification for the type of camera which will work best in all light conditions is a specialised skill in which all our surveyors are well versed. The choice of lens will define the field of vision and the clarity of the picture |
|
Remote Video CCTV Monitoring
An Argus Remote Video Response (RVR) system is a CCTV system remotely monitored by the Argus Remote Video Response Centre 24/7. The moment an intruder is detected, our operators are alerted to monitor and record events as they unfold. They act swiftly to warn intruders off-site and contact initiate the appropriate response, as necessary. |

Conventional Fire Systems
'Conventional' Fire Alarm Systems, in their various forms, have been around for many years and have changed little in that time in terms of technology although design and reliability have improved significantly. However, Conventional fire alarm Systems are a well-proven technology protecting many hundreds of thousands of properties worldwide. A Conventional Fire Alarm System is often the natural choice for smaller systems or where budget constraints exist.
|
|
Addressable Fire Systems
Analogue Addressable Fire Alarm Systems differ from conventional systems in a number of ways and certainly add more flexibility, intelligence, speed of identification and scope of control. For this reason Analogue Addressable Fire Alarm Systems are the natural choice for Commercial premises and more complex system requirements.
|
|
Addressable Detectors and Sounders
Addressable detectors are, in themselves, "intelligent" devices which are capable of reporting far more than just fire or fault conditions, for example most detectors are able to signal if contamination within the device (dust etc) reaches a pre-set level enabling maintenance to take place prior to problems being experienced. Addressable detectors are also able to provide pre-alarm warnings when smoke/heat levels, reach a pre-set level enabling investigation of the fire to take place prior to a full evacuation alarm and Fire Brigade signaling taking place.
|
|
Remote Monitoring
By having a monitored fire alarm system you are ensuring that your property is watched over 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Monitoring has a wide range of applications including commercial, industrial, government and residential.
Argus Security Systems Ltd provide a remote monitoring service around the clock. This includes the monitoring of fire alarms and building management systems. When an alarm is activated, the ARC operators will immediately notify the emergency services in the event of a fire.. Keyholders and building managers are also notified.
